Now you are pregnant the midwives would be pleased to see you in order to plan your ante-natal care. This will involve taking your medical history and also that of your partner and his family. we will also give you details of screening tests that are available during your pregnancy, and advice on what to eat and not eat in pregnancy.
All this should take up to an hour. The midwives will contact you to arrange to do this between 8 and 10 weeks of pregnancy, at a mutually convenient time and if possible in your home. A dating scan will be offered at 10-12 weeks of pregnancy.
Please could you pick up a pregnancy information pack from reception. This pack contains important information regarding investigations offered, antenatal screening programme and screening tests for your newborn baby. Please read this and keep it in a safe place. There will also be a form to complete for the midwives. IT IS IMPORTANT THIS IS COMPLETED OTHERWISE THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CONTACT YOU
